Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 29, 2026
Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy details how the **DevOps Toolkit** browser extension handles data and information when you use our services.
1. Local & Offline-First Processing
The core design philosophy of DevOps Toolkit is to process your developer data locally on your device:
- SSH Config Manager: Your host details, identity keys, and configurations are stored solely in your local browser storage and never uploaded to any remote server.
- Cron Builder / CIDR Subnet Calculator / Regex Tester: All logic for computing schedules, dividing subnets, and evaluating patterns runs natively in your local browser environment.
- Curl Command Simplifier: Raw command string parsing and shell tokenization are performed fully client-side.
2. Active Networking Features & Third-Party APIs
For tools that require live network requests, we interface directly with public API providers. No personal identifiers or data logs are shared during these interactions:
- DNS Checker: Resolves domains using public DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) endpoints hosted by Google DNS (
https://dns.google/). - IP Lookup: Gathers location and ISP/ASN data using public lookup endpoints (
https://ipwho.is/orhttps://ipapi.co/). - SSL Certificate Fetching: Pulls public X.509 PEM certificates using the public Security Tools API (
https://networkcalc.com/).
3. Data Collection and Security
We do not collect, store, buy, sell, or transmit any user data:
- No usage tracking or analytics scripts are embedded in the extension.
- We do not set third-party tracking cookies.
- Your browser's
storage.localstate stores your user preferences and custom code snippets securely on your local disk.
4. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
